In The Dark Listening To The Rain

I’ve got to share this with you.

Claudia and I have a little old home here in Asheboro, NC. It was born in 1946, so it has several “old timey” characteristics about it. One of them is some old wooden stairs which lead up to an attic where I can stand up. I love that attic, and of course we have a lot of things stored up there, and the kids have stored many things up there, as well. Claudia and I have some old chairs up there which we don’t use anymore. I really need to get them down and take them to Salvation Army.

One night a couple weeks ago the skies let go and it started raining quite hard. Now, I LOVE hearing the rain come down. I quickly got a flashlight, opened the door to the attic, left the lights off, climbed up the stairs, found one of those old comfy chairs, and just sat there listening in the dark. I then remembered I had my phone with me. So, I pressed the "Record" button and started recording the beautiful downpour on the roof.

Here it is. I hope you may be as blessed as I was, as I listened in the dark, thanking God for the miracle of rain.
