An Easy Understanding of Isaiah 53:7

I thought this might help some of you understand Isaiah 53:7 a little more:

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,

yet he opened not his mouth;

Like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,

and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,

so he opened not his mouth.”

Some people say, "Well, Jesus DID open his mouth. He talked with Pilate.”

Well, read the verse, again. It says "Like a sheep before its shearers is silent."

The sheep isn't shrieking and struggling to get to freedom, yet accepted he was going to be sheared.

Neither did Jesus argue or plead for His freedom, yet accepted he was to be crucified.
